I am inordinately proud of the fact that I have joined the modern world and uploaded my first video to the video file-sharing megamonster, YouTube. This is a brief video I took of our dog Faith swimming Queechy Lake in upstate New York. Swimming rules. It helped Faith recover from her sprained wrist and lose the pounds that aggravated the injury in the first place. I recommend it highly to nearly every size, age, and kind of dog.
You would never have guessed from Faith's, er, configuration, that she would be a swimphomaniac--but she will retrieve her water Kong until it sinks to the bottom of the lake....and even then, we've seen her go under the dock to get it back. She is at her doggiest in the water. Enjoy.

Swimming totally rules. My dogs couldn't live without large bodies of water. Well, except for Drew the Sheltie, who doesn't even like it when the retrievers shake water on him.
Hope you're settling in well to your new home.

Swimming does totally rule. While the move is a smidge traumatic, the fact that Faith will now have a pond to jump in, as opposed to the alluring, but dangerous, Hudson River, is a good thing.
Thanks for the good thoughts. Happy swimming yourself (except for the Sheltie, of course)!
